Concise Women's History, A

Explores the history of women and gender in the U.S.

A Concise Women’s History explores the dynamics of power in the U.S., between women and men and among women themselves. This history spans from the first cultural contact between indigenous peoples and Europeans in the 15th century to the new globalism of the 21st century.

Because it recognises diversity as a central factor in the history of women and gender, this title explores the lives of a broad spectrum of women. Chapters explore how relationships among women were determined by differences of race, ethnicity, class, age, region, or religion.
