Pikinini Readers

One of the nine beautifully illustrated picture book stories in the Pikinini Readers series for young PNG students.  The books have been written by Diana Donigi and Jenny Cairns, and are designed to encourage a love of reading in lower primary children.

Davita lives in Port Moresby, but her Bubu lives in a village in East Sepik. When her Bubu dies, Davita and her family travel to the village for the funeral. Although they are sad, Davita and her family remember her Bubu through stories and their memories of her.
